About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Regional Sales Professional to join our team in the Southwestern Region. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving strong sales activity throughout the entire territory by utilizing available resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Territory Results:
  • Execute SMART objectives as a highly self-motivated and results-oriented salesperson.
  • Drive sales activity throughout the territory using available resources.
  • Solution-oriented approach to develop territory and specific account plans.
  • Utilize business acumen to gain adoption of new products in target accounts.
  • Persistent salesperson with a self-motivated and focused attitude on achieving high sales results.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm for building and growing business and professional relationships.
  • Maintain momentum when faced with temporary setbacks.
  • Exhibit initiative by taking advantage of opportunities.
  • Receive and incorporate feedback from leadership to improve results.
  • Work professionally with high integrity and work ethic in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Consistently complete administrative tasks such as SalesForce and Concur reporting on time.
  • Territory Management:
  • Achieve goals through territory business reviews to improve access and sales.
  • Promote a technical and innovative product portfolio to a sophisticated audience.
  • Demonstrate tenacity by constantly prospecting territory to deepen relationships and grow sales.
  • Grow network through conferences, distributor meetings, specialty practices, and veterinary colleges.
  • Report goals, sales activities, market information, and customer data frequently and in a timely fashion.
  • Make information available to relevant stakeholders.
  • Meet field activity expectations consistently.
  • Product, Selling Model, and Industry Knowledge:
  • Execute Commercial Insights to Teach, Tailor, and Take Control of sales conversations and closes sales.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills articulating technical knowledge of Virbac portfolio and competition.
  • Communicate features and benefits to persuade commitment to Virbac products.
  • Demonstrate relationship-savviness and self-awareness while intentionally building networks internally and externally.
  • Closes consistently to exceed performance objectives, going above a service call mindset.
  • Conduct educational presentations to gain commitment to use and sell Virbac products.
  • Resource Management:
  • Record sales activity and customer data in CRM database accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Utilize SalesForce to plan, segment, and prioritize.
  • Team player utilizing key partners (NAMs, KAMs, Field Vets, and Distributors).
  • Use data to understand trends and insights to identify opportunities.
  • Analyze sales results monthly and manage expenses within budget guidelines.
  • Host and attend events such as local VMAs, KOL dinners, conferences, including virtual events, etc.
  • Apply selling tools to analyze territory to increase sales and build stronger customer relationships.
  • Use data and customer knowledge to segment territory and builds focus on high-potential customers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional-level experience with proven success in fast-paced environments.
  • Preferred 2+ years of experience in a selling or marketing role (combination of both ideal).
  • Animal Health Industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience in evidence-based medicine/scientific/medical device sales strongly preferred.
  • Past B2B sales experience.
  • Proficient in learning new computer applications and experience with GSuite or MS Office.
  • Must live within territory and willing to make appointments throughout the entire territory.
  • Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
