About This Role:
Stream-Flo Industries Ltd. seeks a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. This position is responsible for processing payroll and timekeeping activities, maintaining payroll systems, and providing customer service to employees and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process payroll and timekeeping activities in a timely manner.
- Maintain high proficiency in payroll and timekeeping systems, and prevailing payroll/legislative practices.
- Provide excellent customer service focus to employees and management.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Human Resources colleagues and other Department representatives.
- Complete accurate and timely payroll processing consistent with Company guidelines and legislative requirements.
- Review time records for completeness and accuracy, compile information, and enter into timekeeping systems as required.
- Liaise with third-party payroll vendors regarding service and troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain updated payroll-related information (rates, benefits, employee information, etc.).
- Assist with processing new hires and terminations.
- Maintain employee files and information.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of payroll administration experience is preferred.
- High School Diploma – additional education and Canadian Payroll Association accreditation are assets.
- Knowledge of HRIS/payroll systems – experience with UKG is a strong asset.
- Experience with hourly and salaried payroll processes is preferred.
- Familiarity with benefit administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, customer-focused.
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills – good judgment.
- Well-organized and self-motivated.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications.
