At Invest Alberta Corporation, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Business Partner to support our People & Culture team. As an HR Business Partner (Student), you will play a crucial role in creating connections and positively contributing to the overall employee experience.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to explore various aspects of human resources, including recruitment, learning & development, and employee experience. To succeed in this role, you must possess problem-solving skills, an eye for improvement, and a growth mindset.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support to the People & Culture department.
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish tasks such as recruitment and project coordination.
  • Taking ownership of processes and projects, including policy implementation and program development.
  • Serving as a resource for employees regarding company policies and procedures.
  • Analyzing the results of various initiatives, including employee engagement surveys and compensation & benefits surveys.
  • Fostering professional relationships across the organization and its partner networks.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy protocols at all times.
  • Leveraging technology to improve organization, communication, and efficiency.

We are looking for a student with a business background, preferably in human resources or general business, and at least second-year standing in their program. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

In addition, we welcome candidates with experience working with stakeholders at all levels, both within and outside the organization. Proof of enrollment at a post-secondary institution is required to qualify for this work term.
