At NorQuest College, we're seeking a talented Human Resources Business Partner to co-create exceptional and inclusive employee experiences and organizational outcomes. As a proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented partner, you'll provide valuable support, coaching, guidance, and partnership to leaders within an assigned client group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a strong understanding of client needs to provide consultative support on various Human Resources issues.
  • Support the college and leaders in implementing effective people and talent management approaches.
  • Facilitate the process of evaluating new positions and assessing positions submitted for classification review.
  • Provide talent acquisition advice and support recruitment processes for senior-level and leadership roles.
  • Interpret and advise on Collective Agreements, Policies, Procedures, Terms and Conditions of Employment, and relevant legislative frameworks.
  • Interact with union representatives and prepare grievance presentations.
  • Consult with leaders on aspects of performance development and management.
  • Support and facilitate exit interviews, departmental reviews, team development initiatives, employee focus groups, and conflict resolution discussions.
  • Conduct workplace investigations.

Requirements

  • degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience as an HR generalist, utilizing a business partner approach.
  • CPHR designation is preferred.
  • Experience working within a post-secondary or public organization is desired.
