Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales team in the Eastern Canada Territory. As a Senior Mining Sales Executive, you will be responsible for empowering, inspiring, and leading a team of sales professionals across Quebec and Ontario, Maritimes provinces, and Saskatchewan. Your strategic vision will shape the future of the mining industry.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Driving Sales Performance: Ensure the team's performance aligns with the Mining Group and Corporate Vision by setting and achieving sales team results.
- Achieving Sales Targets: Accountable for achieving all sales, GM$ and GM% targets for the assigned territory while working with the Group to meet business cash flow objectives, and collaborating with the Credit Manager to minimize bad debt risk and meet accounts payable targets.
- Leading the Sales Team: Build, lead and manage the sales team, while engaging the marketing teams (whether Group or more broadly) and Group technical team to achieve commercial performance and people management goals aligned with Quadra's mission and vision.
- Maintaining Sales Output: Monitor the output and sales performance of the sales team to ensure that the team is acting with the necessary rigor to achieve financial objectives on a continued basis.
- Fostering Employee Engagement: Foster employee engagement and promote close collaboration between the sales team and other internal and external teams within the Business Group.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry or engineering related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Commercial Experience: A minimum of 10 years of previous commercial experience within the mineral processing industry would be considered as a strong asset.
- Sales Management: Minimum 5+ years of proven experience in the direct management of commercial personnel.
- Technical Knowledge: A broad technical and market understanding of the mineral processing industry would be considered a strong asset.
- Leadership Skills: Expertise in coaching, leadership, and fostering motivation and inspiration within teams.
This is a permanent, full-time position with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate will have excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, strong project management, negotiation, and mediation capabilities, and a solid understanding of commercial dynamics.
You will also need to have advanced proficiency in computer software, including Excel, PowerPoint, MS Office 365 Suite, and a CRM such as Salesforce. Fluently bilingual in English and French would be considered as a strong asset for this position. Valid passport and driver's license are required, and willingness and availability to travel for at least 50% of working time; including some overnight, is essential.
