About the Role

Fleetex Transport Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our employees, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Respond to employee inquiries and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, software, and network connectivity.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve complex technical problems, often requiring collaboration with other teams and stakeholders.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to employees on the use of technical systems and software.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of technical issues and resolutions, and provide regular reports to management on technical support activities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other teams, including IT, Operations, and Management, to ensure seamless technical support and resolve technical issues.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills: Excellent technical skills, including knowledge of device drivers, networking software and hardware, intranet and internet systems, servers, and software development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and a high level of attention to detail required. Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, efficient, and organized, with excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of initiative and judgment.
