Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at ACORN. As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch technical assistance to our users, ensuring they have a seamless experience with our computer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Respond to user inquiries and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Problem-Solving: Research and implement solutions to complex technical problems, utilizing technical manuals, user guides, and other resources.
  • User Training: Provide guidance and training to users on how to use computer systems and software effectively.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain a comprehensive log of problems and solutions, ensuring that technical information is readily available to other support analysts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other technical support staff to ensure seamless support and resolve complex issues.
  • System Administration: Provide support for business systems, networks, and Internet services, ensuring that they are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up computer equipment for employees, ensuring that it is properly installed and configured.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a technical support role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong attention to detail.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, initiative, judgment, organized, team player, ability to multitask, and time management.
