Location: Barrie, Ontario

Shift Time: 8:30 to 5:00pm

Terms: Permanent Full-Time

Salary: Competitive and experienced based

Reports to: Canadian Sales Manager

About Us: North American Freight Forwarding Inc. is a Canadian-based company specializing in logistics services with specific strengths in warehousing and distribution, LTL consolidations, expedites, full truckloads, and specialized equipment services to and from Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

Job Purpose: As a professional international freight forwarder, we provide overseas import and export ocean and air freight services worldwide. We seek out driven, talented individuals to join our team to meet and exceed our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand sales with new opportunities for existing customers by providing and promoting information about our services.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing team to identify opportunities to position the company's services as a solution to satisfy customers' needs and requests.
  • Respond to customer queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver a positive customer experience.
  • Follow up on quotes with customers and gather feedback on recent services.
  • Provide demos of software solutions to potential customers and work with the marketing department on campaigns.
  • Use various tools and techniques to identify potential leads and qualify leads based on predefined criteria.
  • Schedule meetings between qualified leads and the sales team while ensuring a smooth handover by providing detailed background information to the sales team.
  • Assist with customer complaints and inquiries quickly and efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls and emails in a professional manner.
  • Build positive relationships with customers.
  • Collect customer information for future follow-ups.
  • Upsell services and make recommendations.
  • Support the closing of sales and achieve company quotas.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and potential clients to enhance outreach strategies and conversations.
  • Assist sales reps as needed.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience within the transportation and logistics industry.
