Sales Development Representative

Reports to: Canadian Sales Manager
About us: North American Freight Forwarding is a Canadian based company specializing in logistics services with specific strength in warehousing and distribution, LTL consolidations, expedites, full truckloads and specialized equipment service to and from Canada, United States and Mexico. As a professional international freight forwarder, we provide overseas import and export ocean and air freight services all over the world.
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for expanding sales with new opportunities for our existing customers by providing and promoting information about our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow up on quotes with customers
- Follow up with customers for feedback on recent services
- Providing demos of software solutions to potential customers
- Working with the Marketing department on campaigns
- Use of various tools and techniques to identify potential leads and qualify leads based on predefined criteria.
- Schedule meetings between qualified leads and the sales team while ensuring a smooth handover by providing detailed background information to the sales team.
- Assisting with customer complaints and inquiries quickly and efficiently
- Answering phone calls and emails in a professional manner
- Building positive rapports with customers
- Collecting customer information for future follow-ups
- Upselling services and making recommendations
- Supporting the closing of sales and achieving company quotas
- Constantly learning about the company's services to effectively articulate their value proposition to potential clients
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and potential clients to enhance outreach strategies and conversations
- Assisting Sales Reps as needed
Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration or a relevant field
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience within the Transportation and Logistics industry
