We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our team at Kelly Services (Canada). As the first point of contact for patients and visitors, this role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth functioning of our healthcare facility.

About the Job

This is a 6-week contract position with the possibility of extending or becoming permanent. The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a medical office or similar administrative role, as well as proficiency in using electronic medical records systems. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential, along with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Schedule and confirm appointments using electronic medical records system
  • Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff member
  • Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
  • Verify insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a medical office or similar administrative role preferred
  • Proficient in using electronic medical records systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is a plus
Compensation:

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.99-$19.00, commensurate with experience.
