Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to learning, and a proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Referral Management: Facilitate the referral process by reviewing requests from clinicians, assessing their appropriateness, and ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.">
  • Provider Collaboration: Coordinate with healthcare providers to gather additional details, clarify referral information, and ensure timely processing of referrals for seamless care coordination.">
  • Communication: Respond promptly to client and team communications, including emails, phone calls, and in-person inquiries. Triage urgent requests while maintaining professionalism and compassion in every interaction.">
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing clear explanations of the referral process, addressing inquiries, and guiding them through next steps. Keep clients informed of their referral status and any actions required on their part.">

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program from an accredited institution.">
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Office Assistant in primary healthcare.">
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Teams.">
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect and engage with clients effectively.">
  • Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, professional setting.">

Compensation

">

The hourly rate for this position is $25-$29 per hour, with an estimated annual salary ranging from $52,000 to $60,400 based on a 24-hour workweek.

Certification and Experience

">

Possession of a Medical Office Assistant Certification is preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Office Assistant in primary healthcare is required.
