We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Harrison Healthcare. As a key member of our primary healthcare delivery team, you will play a critical role in facilitating the referral process for our clients.

About the Role

This part-time position is ideal for an individual with excellent communication skills and experience in electronic medical record systems. You will be responsible for coordinating with healthcare providers, ensuring timely processing of referrals, and providing clear explanations of the referral process to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the referral process by reviewing requests from clinicians, assessing their appropriateness, and ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to gather additional details, clarify referral information, and ensure the timely processing of referrals for seamless care coordination.
  • Respond promptly to client and team communications, including emails, phone calls, and in-person inquiries. Triage urgent requests while maintaining professionalism and compassion in every interaction.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, providing clear explanations of the referral process, addressing inquiries, and guiding them through next steps. Keep clients informed of their referral status and any actions required on their part.
