About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team at Allianz Global Assistance Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for identifying and establishing new partnerships in the travel industry.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in relationship management and sales, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry. They will be able to leverage their expertise to drive business development through proactive outreach, impactful meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

This is a remote work opportunity that offers flexibility and autonomy. However, occasional travel may be required, up to 50% of the time. A valid driver's license, personal vehicle, and valid passport are necessary for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales revenues in the online, supplier, and distributor markets in the travel industry from new and existing clients and new and existing services.
  • Identify emerging markets and channels where we can assist.
  • Represent the company at industry functions.
  • Recommend new products to the product development team that address new and evolving business opportunities.
  • Identify new opportunities, prospect for new clients, develop and present proposals, negotiate and close agreements, recommend and implement profitable strategies.
