Business Development Lead for Brokers, Groups and Associations

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Allianz Popular SL as a Business Development Lead for Brokers, Groups and Associations. As a key member of our senior sales management team, you will be responsible for driving sustainable business outcomes and development within these channels.

You will bring experience, networks, and relationships to enable positive business and customer outcomes, as well as P&L growth and ROI. This includes identifying and developing new opportunities, expanding the company's presence within current sales verticals, and communicating our prospects' business requirements to help identify ways in which our existing or new products, services, and distribution technology can meet these needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Serve as a mentor by providing coaching, career development, and inter-departmental relationship management for your team.
  • Maximize new business by identifying and supporting business development in selling and executing growth opportunities.
  • Oversee and drive a team to actively prospect and close sales with new clients needed to meet annual sales goals and quota inside Canada and as needed to support within the America's zone.
  • Develop strategic sales plans to maximize profitable revenue growth from existing partners.
  • Develop and maintain senior relationships with key influencers and partners.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Communications, and Sales Distribution teams to demonstrate a cooperative, team-centric atmosphere focused on identifying initiatives needed to succeed in meeting or exceeding company goals.
  • Responsible for providing management with all requested sales reports and sales forecasting.
  • Attend appropriate trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to remain current on industry issues, increase awareness of competitive offerings and positioning, and promote the company and its products.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • Ten years of experience in a sales-driven environment within the travel industry or another suitable industry.
  • Five years of management experience.
  • Ability to think strategically forward in a 1-3 year time span and be proactive.
  • Technology-based sales and/or marketing experience.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet aggressive sales growth goals in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Travel Requirements

At least 50% travel required.
