**Job Summary**



Westlake Royal Building Products is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Territory Business Development Lead to join our team in Western Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth and development in the region, identifying strategic opportunities, and capturing new business to enhance our competitive advantage.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct product knowledge training sessions in various environments, including jobsites and boardrooms.
  • Motivate others and demonstrate confidence in yourself and the products you represent.
  • Work with trades, remodelers, distribution, home builders, architects, designers, and other industry influencers.
  • Identify qualified conversion targets and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Communicate effectively in all requests, commitments, emails, voicemails, deadlines, presentations, and reports.
  • Commit to 20-30% overnight travel.
  • Participate in semi-annual competitive product reviews for all brands.
  • Assist with warranty claims and submit a monthly highlight report summarizing travel highlights, customer feedback, competitive field issues, internal issues, significant opportunities, and success stories.
  • Perform interactive guided plant tours on an approved value-added basis.
  • Maintain a 4-week forward-looking schedule to ensure consistent, regular, and cost-effective training and travel.
  • Communicate with other WRBP employees to avoid potential conflicts and identify opportunities to help each other reach collective goals.
  • Reach and exceed sales targets.
  • Participate in national, regional, and local distributor trade shows, contractor days, festival events, and other activities where representation is requested.


Requirements:


  • University or college graduate preferred.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in the building/construction industry.
  • Exceptional sales competencies.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as an enthusiastic team player.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Position is home-based, but candidate must live within reasonable driving distance to an international airport.
