Territory Business Development Manager

Job Summary:
The Territory Manager will play a key role in driving business development activities for Westlake Royal Building Products in Western Canada. This position requires a strategic thinker who can identify growth opportunities and develop effective sales strategies to capture new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct product knowledge training sessions in various environments, including jobsites and boardrooms.
- Motivate others and demonstrate confidence in yourself and the products you represent.
- Develop strong relationships with trades, remodelers, distribution, home builders, architects, designers, and other industry influencers.
- Identify qualified conversion targets and execute effective sales strategies.
- Communicate effectively in all requests, commitments, emails, voicemails, deadlines, presentations, and reports.
- Travel up to 20-30% overnight and participate in national, regional, and local distributor trade shows, contractor days, festival events, and other activities.
- Assist with warranty claims and maintain a 4-week forward-looking schedule to ensure consistent and cost-effective training and travel.
- Communicate with other WRBP employees to avoid potential conflicts of interest and identify ways to help each other reach collective goals.
- Reach and exceed sales targets.
Requirements:
- University or college graduate preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in the building/construction industry.
- Exceptional sales competencies.
- Strong business acumen.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Possess creative problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Work autonomously but also as an enthusiastic team player.
- Must be fluent in English.
