Front Office Assistant Manager

Job Summary:
The Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest service and maintaining standards for all positions within the Front Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates Front Desk, Royal Service, and Security Departments to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
- Maximizes rooms revenue through Revenue Management strategies and practices.
- Oversees group & tour business, reviewing conference & tour resumes to ensure details are met.
- Liaises with other departments to manage operations, maintaining relationships with Housekeeping, Fairmont Gold, and Guest Services.
- Assigns guest rooms to meet guest needs and preferences, monitoring inventory to maximize revenue.
- Knows emergency procedures and crisis situation management, ensuring guest safety.
- Develops, implements, and maintains Fairmont Service Essentials for the Front Office & Royal Service.
- Monitors and provides feedback on monthly labour expenses.
- Supports the Front Office Manager in yearly strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develops and implements new incentives to motivate employees and maximize hotel revenue.
- Ensures effective utilization and productivity of staff through staff planning, hiring, scheduling, and adhering to budget parameters.
Requirements:
- Highly organized, results-oriented with flexibility and ability to work well under pressure.
- Service-focused personality is essential.
- Previous experience in a similar leadership role is an asset.
- Prior experience working with Opera or a related system.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities and the ability to lead by example.
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management is an asset.
