Job Summary:

The Assistant Front Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest level of guest service and maintaining standards for all positions within the Front Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates Front Desk, Royal Service, and Security Departments to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
  • Maximizes rooms revenue through Revenue Management strategies and practices.
  • Oversees group & tour business, reviewing conference & tour resumes to ensure details are met.
  • Liaises with other departments to manage operations, maintaining relationships with Housekeeping, Fairmont Gold, and Guest Services.
  • Assigns guest rooms to meet guest needs and preferences, monitoring inventory to maximize revenue.
  • Knows emergency procedures and crisis situation management, ensuring guest safety.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains Fairmont Service Essentials for the Front Office & Royal Service.
  • Monitors and provides feedback on monthly labour expenses.
  • Supports the Front Office Manager in yearly strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Develops incentives to motivate employees and maximize hotel revenue.
  • Ensures effective staff utilization and productivity through staff planning, hiring, scheduling, and budget adherence.

Requirements:

  • Highly organized, results-oriented, and flexible with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Service-focused personality and previous experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Prior experience working with Opera or a related system.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with a degree or diploma in Hospitality Management an asset.
