Overview

The Franchise Development Consultant plays a crucial role within a national team, utilizing regional market knowledge to drive the profitable expansion of the Bank's franchise portfolio. This position focuses on acquiring new customer relationships within the franchising sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with local franchise owners and key influencers to foster new business relationships.
  • Meet and exceed the objectives set by the National Director, including business acquisition and strategic development.
  • Develop comprehensive business plans tailored to the franchising segment, enhancing existing relationships and establishing new connections.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess a background in Small Business and Commercial Banking, demonstrating a strong track record in sales. We seek an individual who is enthusiastic about networking and excels in building relationships that contribute to business growth. This role is entirely focused on Business Development.

Accountabilities

  • Foster a customer-centric culture to enhance client relationships and leverage broader Bank resources.
  • Acquire new franchise business relationships through strategic planning and relationship-building initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a comprehensive service offering for new franchise clients.
  • Conduct due diligence and negotiate terms for financial products and services.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in finance, business law, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the franchising sector, either educational or professional.
  • Strong understanding of business products and services, with proven expertise in the franchising market.
  • Ability to develop and maintain influential relationships within the community.

Working Environment

This position primarily operates outside of a traditional office setting, engaging with clients and prospects in various locations. Flexibility is essential to meet customer demands, which may extend beyond standard business hours.
