Job Summary

We are seeking a Payroll Administration Specialist to join our team at Agrifoods International Cooperative Ltd. This is a 12-month contract position, offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the administration of payroll.

About the Role

The successful candidate will champion the implementation of ADP to all entities at Agrifoods International, ensuring accurate distribution of compensation and managing key systems. This role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Complete regular payroll activities for head office payroll and provide backup support to the team.
  • Champion the implementation process by maintaining organizational data, assisting with system changes, and preparing end users with documentation or training materials as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and reports.
  • Assist in various year-end and month-end reporting.
Requirements
  • 5 years of experience with Canadian Payroll and Accounting environments, including Union settings.
  • At least 5 years of experience with complex systems in complex organizations.
  • Experience being part of an implementation team for Payroll Systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with third-party payroll software – Avanti and ADP.
  • French speaking.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) an asset.
Working Conditions

The selected candidate must be willing to work extra hours throughout the contract period.
