Job Title: Associate Dean, School of Human Resources

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Dean to provide academic leadership and management of the School of Human Resources at George Brown College.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Dean and leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for the Centre and School.
  • Supervise faculty, managers, and support staff, and conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
  • Resolve conflicts and manage complex team dynamics, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Lead the review, development, and implementation of new and existing programs, ensuring quality and accessibility.
  • Ensure the School's objectives are met through effective supervision of teaching and learning processes.
  • Lead workload and workforce planning, making strategic human resource decisions.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with external academic and community partners.
  • Lead the development and monitoring of the School's operating budget.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree required, Doctorate preferred.
  • Relevant post-grad degree and experience in education, preferably in a unionized environment.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in education, including management/leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated administrative/leadership experience, including budget management and human resources.
  • Skills in systems-thinking, strategic planning, and creative problem-solving.
  • Digital skills, including expertise in virtual management and relevant software.
