Associate Dean, School of Accounting and Finance Leadership Position

Job Summary:
Create a positive, inclusive, and community-focused environment as the Associate Dean, School of Accounting and Finance. This leadership role requires a collaborative academic leader who can provide both academic and administrative guidance to the School's faculty, managers, support staff, and students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Dean and leadership team to develop and implement the Centre's and School's strategic plans.
- Maintain a high level of performance through people management, supervising employees, conducting performance reviews, and providing coaching and mentorship.
- Resolve conflicts and address complaints from employees and students, managing complex team dynamics effectively.
- Initiate, facilitate, and lead the review, development, implementation, and quality assurance of new and existing programs and initiatives.
- Ensure the School's objectives are attained through effective supervision of teaching and learning processes, engaging in scholarly and applied research activities.
- Lead workload and workforce planning for the School, determining faculty teaching and complementary function assignments.
- Lead partnership development with external academic and community partners, ensuring positive brand awareness of programs.
- Develop, monitor, and direct the School's operating budget.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree required; Doctorate Degree preferred.
- Relevant post-grad degree for the School of Accounting and Finance programming.
- 9 years of experience in education, including management/leadership experience.
- Experience in fostering excellence in teaching and learning and academic programming.
- Demonstrated administrative/leadership experience, including developing and managing budgets.
