Associate Dean, School of Accounting and Finance

George Brown College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Associate Dean to provide academic leadership and management of the School of Accounting and Finance. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of the School's strategic plans, as well as providing supervision and direction to faculty, managers, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Dean and leadership team to develop and implement the Centre's and School's strategic plans.
- Supervise and direct faculty, managers, and support staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality academic programs.
- Develop and manage budgets, administer policies and procedures, and manage human resources.
- Lead the review, development, implementation, and quality assurance of new and existing programs and initiatives.
- Ensure accessibility, reduction of barriers, and application of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in courses and programs.
- Manage multiple, diverse teams and lead workload and workforce planning for the School.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with external academic and community partners.
- Lead the development, monitoring, and directing of the School's operating budget.
- Master's degree required; Doctorate degree preferred.
- Relevant post-grad degree in a discipline related to the School of Accounting and Finance programming.
- Minimum nine (9) years of experience in the education field, including management/leadership experience.
- Demonstrated administrative/leadership experience, including developing and managing budgets, administration of policies and procedures, and management of human resources.
- Skills in systems-thinking, strategic planning, and creative problem-solving.
- Digital skills essential, including expertise in virtual management and relevant experience with software to support teaching, research, and administrative activities.
