Job Summary:
The George Brown College is seeking an experienced Academic Leader to join our team as the Associate Dean for the School of Human Resources. In this role, you will provide academic leadership and management of the School, aligning with the strategic initiatives of the College's academic plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Dean and leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for the Centre and School.
- Supervise and direct faculty, managers, support staff, and students within the portfolio, maintaining a high level of performance through people management.
- Resolve conflicts and address complaints, managing complex team dynamics effectively.
- Initiate, facilitate, and lead the review, development, implementation, and quality assurance of new and existing programs and initiatives.
- Ensure the objectives of the School are attained through effective supervision of teaching and learning processes, engaging in scholarly and applied research activities.
- Lead workload and workforce planning for the School, determining faculty teaching and complementary function assignments.
- Develop and monitor the School's operating budget, ensuring fiscal accountability for all funding sources.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree required, Doctorate preferred.
- Relevant post-grad degree and experience in education, management, and leadership.
- Minimum 9 years of experience in education, including management and leadership experience.
- Demonstrated administrative and leadership experience, including budget management and human resources administration.
