Catholic Social Services is seeking a dedicated full-time (40 hours/week) contract Program Manager for its Edmonton region. With a focus on client-centered care, you will demonstrate confidence, thoughtfulness, and a commitment to success in supporting community members.

Position Overview

As a Program Manager within the Immigration and Settlement Service at Catholic Social Services in Edmonton, your primary responsibility will be to oversee daily operations. This includes leading, managing, supervising, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of various programs and services aimed at assisting refugees, immigrants, temporary foreign workers, and other newcomers.

Your strong verbal and written communication skills in English, along with advanced proficiency in various computer applications, client information systems, and data management tools, will be essential in preparing funding proposals, budgets, and comprehensive reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing multiple programs and services designed to support refugees during their initial year in Canada, encompassing planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and risk management.
  • Coordinating arrival logistics to ensure smooth transitions from the airport to temporary accommodations.
  • Facilitating successful connections for clients with essential services, including financial, housing, education, health, and employment.
  • Managing ongoing communication and reporting requirements dictated by funders.
  • Supervising the administration of standardized assessment tools and data management processes.
  • Producing timely and accurate narrative and statistical reports for program evaluation.
  • Upholding organizational standards focused on outcomes, service quality, performance measurement, and client satisfaction.
  • Staying informed about the needs and trends of newcomers and the community, as well as relevant government programs and regulations.
  • Building strategic partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels to enhance program delivery.
  • Leading human resource management efforts, including recruitment, team management, training, and staff evaluations.
  • Contributing to funding proposals and budget development to ensure the sustainability of services for newcomers.
  • Managing program budgets in alignment with funders' requirements and the Agency's financial policies.
  • Collaborating with other program managers and senior management to ensure cohesive service delivery.
  • Participating in various intra-agency initiatives and committees.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with newcomers in Canada is advantageous.
