Position OverviewAs a Program Manager within the Immigration and Settlement Service at Catholic Social Services, you will oversee the daily functions of various programs aimed at assisting refugees, immigrants, temporary foreign workers, and other newcomers. Your leadership will ensure effective program delivery and operational excellence.
Your strong communication abilities in English, along with your proficiency in diverse computer applications and data management systems, will be essential in preparing funding proposals, budgets, and comprehensive reports.
Key Responsibilities:- Overseeing multiple programs focused on the integration of refugees during their initial year in Canada, including planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation, and sustainability.
- Coordinating essential arrival information to guarantee smooth transitions from the airport to temporary housing.
- Facilitating connections for clients with vital services such as financial assistance, housing, education, health care, and employment.
- Managing communication and reporting requirements dictated by funding sources.
- Supervising the administration of assessment tools and ensuring accurate data collection and management.
- Generating timely and precise narrative and statistical reports on program activities.
- Upholding organizational standards that prioritize outcomes, service quality, performance measurement, and client satisfaction.
- Staying informed about the evolving needs of newcomers and community trends, as well as relevant government programs and regulations.
- Establishing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders at various levels to enhance program delivery.
- Leading human resource functions, including recruitment, team management, training, and performance evaluation.
- Contributing to funding applications and budget development to secure ongoing service provision.
- Ensuring compliance with financial management and accountability standards as per funders' requirements.
- Collaborating with other program managers and senior leadership to ensure cohesive service delivery.
- Engaging in various agency initiatives and committees to support organizational goals.
- Master's Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a relevant setting.
- Experience working with newcomers in Canada is advantageous.
