Position Title: Patient Programs Coordinator
Job Location: Clinic Support Office - Edmonton, Alberta
Job Type: Full-Time, Entry Level (8:00am - 4:30pm)
Reports to: Centralized Programs Manager

JOB PURPOSE:
As a member of the Centralized Programs Team, you will provide outstanding customer support to patients, healthcare staff, and physicians. Your role will involve managing patient referrals, processing third-party requests, and overseeing physician panel management while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a key role in supporting the organization’s strategic goals.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate and dispatch referrals to specialists and healthcare facilities
- Monitor and follow up on pending referrals
- Address inquiries from patients and physicians
- Maintain effective communication with clinic personnel and patients
- Achieve daily performance targets
- Execute additional responsibilities as required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of experience in a Medical Office Assistant role
- Familiarity with medical software is advantageous
- Exceptional customer service abilities
- Capacity to manage confidential information
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT:
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment
- Flexibility in shift scheduling is necessary
- Capability to remain seated for extended periods
INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS:
- Collaboration with Clinic Managers and staff
- Interaction with the Operations Team
- Engagement with Physicians
- Coordination with IT Technicians
EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS:
- Communication with Specialist Offices
- Coordination with Diagnostic Imaging Sites
- Interaction with Hospitals
- Engagement with Patients
