Compensation:

The compensation for this role ranges from $75 to $95 per hour; however, the actual pay may differ based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:


The Child Intervention Support Unit (CIBS) within the Ministry of Children and Family Services (CFS) is in search of two project supervisors to oversee and provide project management assistance in the planning and execution of various initiatives under the Pathway to Paperless program.

One supervisor will focus on managing ongoing projects, while the second will oversee future CFS initiatives.

The Pathway to Paperless program is a multi-year initiative comprising several projects aimed at modernizing service delivery through key initiatives.

Responsibilities include:
Delivering project management expertise to large, complex, and/or politically sensitive strategic initiatives that extend beyond IT.

This may involve:

identifying business challenges or opportunities; implementing changes to service delivery, policy, or legislation; developing and launching new products, programs, or business enhancements; or facilitating organizational transformation.

Manage all facets of project planning, execution, delivery, and closure.

This encompasses determining the most effective approach to achieve established objectives while ensuring business needs, quality standards, and data integrity are maintained.

Collaborate with stakeholders to create comprehensive proposals, project charters, project plans, and other planning documents, along with project artifacts.

Project Plans must clearly articulate the project's objectives, scope, assumptions, timeline, risks, benefits, budget, and estimated resource requirements.

Oversee multiple projects, project resources, and governance structures.
Work with project leads to establish a project organization framework with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

Formulate strategies, manage projects, document, and coordinate project team activities to fulfill each project's goals, scope, budget, schedule, quality, and other relevant performance standards.

Identify project milestones, critical success factors, dependencies, policy and program implications, metrics, and resource needs.
Contribute to project deliverables as necessary, such as research, survey design, and report writing, to ensure timely and quality outcomes.
Regularly monitor, document, and report on project progress against established plans.
Plan, lead, and participate in internal project team meetings, stakeholder meetings, and steering committee sessions.

Document any changes in scope, budget, or schedule; coordinate approvals and communicate modifications with sponsors, management, team leads, and working groups/committees.

Ensure proactive identification of issues, risks, and opportunities, with strategies developed and implemented where feasible.
Provide high-level business or process analysis, change management, and communication support to the team as needed.
Complete the proper handover of project outputs, including all relevant documentation, to the business area.

In collaboration with project sponsors, evaluate whether the project met its objectives and identify areas for improvement for future projects.

Document lessons learned and share insights with the business area.

Qualifications:
8+ years of direct experience in a non-IT project management capacity.

8+ years of experience in creating and managing project forecasts and actual budgets.

8+ years of experience in defining project scope and objectives in collaboration with business stakeholders.

8+ years of experience in developing project deliverables, including project charters and business cases.

8+ years of experience in leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels.

5+ years of experience in managing multiple concurrent projects.

3+ years of experience using Microsoft Project or other project management tools.
