Catholic Social Services is seeking a dedicated full-time (40 hours/week) contract Program Manager in the Edmonton region. With a commitment to providing exceptional client-centered support, you will be an integral part of enhancing the lives of individuals in your community.

Position Overview

As a Program Manager within the Immigration and Settlement Service at Catholic Social Services, you will oversee the daily operations of various programs aimed at assisting refugees, immigrants, temporary foreign workers, and other newcomers in Edmonton.

Your strong verbal and written communication skills in English, along with your advanced proficiency in various computer applications, client information systems, and social media tools, will be essential in preparing funding proposals, budgets, and comprehensive reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing multiple programs focused on supporting refugees during their initial year in Canada, including planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and risk management.
  • Coordinating arrival logistics to ensure smooth transitions from the airport to temporary housing.
  • Facilitating connections for clients with essential services such as financial assistance, housing, education, health care, and employment.
  • Managing communication and reporting requirements dictated by funding sources.
  • Supervising the administration of standardized assessment tools and managing data collection.
  • Generating accurate and timely narrative and statistical reports for program evaluation.
  • Upholding organizational standards focused on outcomes, service quality, performance measurement, and client satisfaction.
  • Staying informed about the needs and trends affecting newcomers and the community, as well as relevant government programs and policies.
  • Building strategic partnerships with key stakeholders at local, regional, and national levels to enhance program delivery.
  • Leading human resource initiatives, including recruitment, team management, training, and staff evaluations.
  • Contributing to funding proposals and budget development to ensure ongoing service delivery.
  • Managing program budgets in alignment with funders' requirements to ensure financial accountability.
  • Collaborating with other program managers and senior management to facilitate seamless service delivery.
  • Participating in various intra-agency initiatives and committees.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience working with newcomers in Canada is advantageous.
