Position Overview

We are in search of a proactive and results-driven individual to enhance our customer engagement efforts and ensure that every client interaction is meaningful. You will oversee customer order inquiries from our distribution centers while collaborating with a team of skilled bilingual Specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer purchase orders received through various channels including telephone, email, fax, and online platforms for both Canadian and American clients;
  • Evaluate customer orders and accounts to recommend the best solutions that optimize their time and cost;
  • Handle inventory transactions and logistics requests utilizing diverse software systems and tools;
  • Address inquiries from customers and the sales team regarding product availability, providing alternatives and solutions tailored to their requirements;
  • Follow up with clients on overdue orders that have not been collected;
  • Coordinate with the sales and marketing teams to arrange product pick-up and delivery schedules for customers.

A Typical Day

As a Client Relations Specialist, your day begins with being available for incoming inquiries. Typically, calls from our dealer network constitute about 20% of your workday. The remaining inquiries are handled via tickets submitted through email, managed on a first-in, first-out basis. Throughout your day, you will collaborate with internal partners such as Transport, Distribution, Production, and Sales, which will broaden your understanding of our internal processes and products, paving the way for future career advancement within the organization. During quieter moments, you can enjoy a coffee break and, more importantly, leverage your knowledge of ERPs and the Microsoft Suite to improve our internal and external operations.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to service excellence and ownership of every client interaction;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, a positive demeanor, and meticulous attention to detail;
  • Fluent bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written (English proficiency is essential for serving our clients in the United States);
  • Capability to multitask, coordinate, prioritize, and follow up within established deadlines;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word;
  • Self-driven, with a strong initiative and quick learning aptitude;
  • Familiarity with inventory transaction and logistics systems and software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics AX) will be considered advantageous.
