Role Overview: This position plays a crucial role in the establishment, oversight, and execution of a comprehensive liquidity and funding management framework within Corporate Treasury. The aim is to optimize risk exposure while maximizing risk-adjusted profitability for the Bank.

The incumbent will provide expert analysis and oversight regarding the Bank's global regulatory and internal funding risks that arise from Trading and Capital Markets operations. Collaborating closely with assigned business units, the role requires a deep understanding of business strategies, as well as extensive product, market, and regulatory knowledge across all wholesale and trading products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer strategic insights to business decisions as a trusted advisor.
  • Present recommendations to senior leadership on strategic initiatives, leveraging a thorough understanding of the business landscape.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
  • Engage with industry contacts to gather competitive insights and best practices.
  • Define strategic priorities and lead their execution.
  • Oversee resources and drive the implementation of liquidity and funding-related strategic initiatives to achieve business and financial objectives.
  • Propose and implement liquidity and funding solutions based on comprehensive analysis.
  • Support the development and execution of the enterprise's liquidity and funding risk management strategy, collaborating with Market Risk Management to establish risk appetite and associated limits.
  • Design processes to identify, measure, and manage liquidity and funding risks for Trading Products and Wholesale Businesses.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Trading Products and Capital Markets stakeholders on liquidity and funding issues, including funds transfer pricing and stress testing.
  • Maintain and enhance the model and assumption framework for measuring liquidity and funding risk.
  • Identify emerging trends and issues to inform decision-making and risk assessment.
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on thorough risk assessments.
  • Assist senior management in aligning agendas among various stakeholders, including industry groups and regulators.
  • Monitor liquidity stress test performance and address any arising issues.
  • Contribute to liquidity and funding programs such as annual planning and risk modeling.
  • Identify opportunities to integrate information from various streams to enhance analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze data to provide insights into product pricing and funds transfer pricing processes.
  • Support the execution of liquidity and funding-related strategic initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Operate at an enterprise-wide level, serving as a specialist resource for senior leaders.
  • Apply expertise to creatively address complex situations and find effective solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Typically requires 5+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possesses a strong blend of education, experience, and industry knowledge.
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of trading products, including strategies, wholesale funding, and associated liquidity risks.
  • Exhibits advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrates effective influence and collaboration skills.
  • Able to navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • Utilizes data-driven decision-making.
  • Knowledge of intraday liquidity and experience in Risk or Capital Markets is advantageous.

Salary: $100, $187,200.00

Pay Type: Salaried
