Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager to join our team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of our enterprise-wide liquidity and funding management framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize liquidity and funding risks, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice to senior leaders on liquidity and funding risk management, including the development of risk appetite limits and stress testing processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, measure, and manage liquidity and funding risks, ensuring effective risk mitigation and optimization strategies.
  • Design and implement data-driven solutions to enhance liquidity and funding risk management, including the development of models and assumption frameworks.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to assigned business groups, providing guidance on liquidity and funding matters, including recovery and resolution planning.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts, regulators, and other stakeholders to stay informed on market and regulatory developments.
  • Monitor and report on liquidity and funding risk metrics, ensuring timely and accurate information for senior leaders and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in liquidity and funding risk management, with a strong background in financial markets and regulatory requirements.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study, such as finance, economics, or business administration.
  • Expert-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and prioritize multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
