Job Title: Application Support Analyst
Location: Hybrid role, working from Grimsby, ON as needed
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving our computer systems, ensuring the performance and availability of all APL applications used by our users across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and Support
- Troubleshoot technical issues for Oracle Cloud, LS Retail, Microsoft Dynamics, and all APL-owned applications and environments.
- Write and create reports and SQL extracts as needed using Oracle Accounting reporting suite, Oracle BI Publisher, Oracle BI Cloud Analytics.
- Collaborate with Business and Project Leads, as well as the IT team to resolve issues and ensure solutions are viable and consistent.
- Support Oracle Fusion cloud applications (ERP, SCM, EPM, etc).
- Create system guidelines and manuals for the organization for Oracle Cloud, LS Retail, Microsoft Dynamics, and all APL-owned applications and environments.
- Keep current on OCI technologies, especially Oracle database.
- Implement computer system requirements by defining and analyzing system problems.
- Provide support with designing, and testing standards and solutions for all APL applications.
- Develop solutions by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions and validating results by testing programs.
- Understand software development lifecycles and change request processes.
- Participate in projects as needed.
- Provide Level 1.5 and level 2 support.
- Provide support after hours and/or weekends as required.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience with Oracle and Databases ideal.
- Minimum 3-5 years' network and system administration experience ideal.
- 3-5 years' experience implementing, configuring, and managing systems (Oracle Cloud, LS Retail, MSSQL) ideal.
- Knowledge on POS system and Application (LS Retail, Microsoft Dynamics).
