About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Athabasca Hotel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Develop and implement menus that showcase our hotel's culinary expertise and meet the tastes and preferences of our guests.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and train our kitchen staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Inventory Management: Oversee the ordering and inventory of food and supplies to ensure that our kitchen is well-stocked and that we minimize waste.
  • Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment that meets health and safety standards.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that our guests receive exceptional service and that their dining experiences are memorable.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and completion of a culinary program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a cook or in a related role.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate and Food Safety Certificate.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
