About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Olive Bistro & Lounge Inc. as a Head Cook. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation
    • Develop and implement menus that showcase our culinary expertise and meet the tastes of our discerning customers.
    • Source high-quality ingredients and manage inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Culinary Leadership
    • Train and supervise a team of cooks to ensure exceptional food quality and presentation.
    • Develop and maintain a culture of excellence in the kitchen, emphasizing teamwork, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control
    • Implement and maintain strict food safety and quality control procedures to ensure a clean and healthy kitchen environment.
    • Conduct regular kitchen inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management and Ordering
    • Manage inventory levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Ensure exceptional customer service by responding promptly to customer complaints and feedback.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to build loyalty and drive repeat business.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting
    • Restaurant or similar fast-paced food service environment.
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability
    • Flexibility, initiative, and a team player attitude.
