PAL Aerospace is currently in search of qualified candidates for the role of Project Manager. The ideal applicant will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects within the established budget, timeline, and scope. They will also be tasked with effectively monitoring and communicating project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate plans, develop reverse schedules, and utilize budgeting tools to ensure projects remain within financial constraints and fulfill their intended scope. Proactively manage engineering progress through the analysis of earned value, cost-performance, and schedule performance metrics. Oversee schedules, reverse schedules, budgets, and work completed by all project stakeholders. Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure exceptional delivery and strategic advancement of the project. Collect and interpret project requirements to allocate resources in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. Ensure that the engineering forecast is consistently updated. Contribute to the project's monthly report regarding design progress, costs, and any issues of concern, recommending changes as necessary to meet overall objectives. Promote internal and external communication that enhances transparency and information sharing — addressing project expectations, budgets, stakeholder needs, timelines, and more. Respond to client and internal product owners' inquiries effectively and promptly. Engage with management at critical points throughout the project to ensure that engineering deliverables align with client requirements. Raise awareness of safety and ensure that design for safety principles are integrated into the project. Conduct engineering risk assessments and implement design for safety protocols, addressing all identified issues. Manage project close-out procedures. Prepare and analyze engineering performance metrics across multiple disciplines, providing feedback to the organization. Develop lessons learned documentation and feedback for organizational improvement. Inspire and collaborate with client and internal teams. Identify risks and formulate appropriate mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain regular communication with remote colleagues.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience. 5 – 7 years of experience in project management. Strong business acumen in project planning and management. Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills. PMP Certification is preferred. General knowledge of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and design criteria in engineering disciplines, particularly those related to the aerospace and defense sectors. Familiarity with engineering progress assessment, earned value, and engineering control strategies. Ability to adapt to ongoing changes and manage high-pressure situations to support the team in achieving project goals. Proficient in using Project Management Software such as Celoxis and MS Project.What PAL Aerospace Offers:
