Senior Project Manager

Cheme Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our capital projects in the pharmaceutical, food & beverage, and science and technology industries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring successful project delivery and meeting client expectations.
- Project Scope Definition: Define project scope, identify project requirements, and develop project plans.
- Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Project Budgeting and Scheduling: Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor project team members, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Equipment Installation and Cost Estimating: Oversee equipment installation and cost estimating, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
- Project Execution: Lead project execution, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Scope Documentation: Develop and maintain project scope documentation, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Commissioning and Validation: Oversee commissioning and validation activities, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Travel and Site Visits: Travel to client sites for site reviews and troubleshooting, ensuring effective issue resolution.
- Education: Bachelor of Applied Science degree in engineering from a recognized Canadian university or Bachelor of Science degree in a physical science from a recognized Canadian university.
- Experience: 10 years of current work experience in project management and process development or technology transfer, with experience managing capital projects from $5,000-$20,000,000.
- Skills: Proficiency in written and spoken English, ability to communicate clearly with clients, and knowledge of common business practices and techniques such as quoting, preparation of requirements, marketing, and sales.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to use Microsoft Project to create schedules and track project resources.
- Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and owner of a car.
