About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director, Commercial Strategy & Operations to lead our team in developing and executing innovative strategies that drive revenue growth, optimize operational efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with Metrolinx's strategic objectives, focusing on areas such as fare revenue optimization, partnerships, and new business development.
  • Lead the analysis of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in our commercial operations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our commercial team, ensuring efficient delivery of services and adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to integrate commercial strategies into overall business planning and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure the profitability of our commercial initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to inform strategic direction and operational improvements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success in developing and executing commercial strategies within the transportation or related industries.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in commercial strategy, operations management, or a similar role within a large organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
