Role Overview: As a Senior Analyst in Commercial Strategy & Performance within the Commercial Centre of Excellence (Commercial CoE), you will play a pivotal role in supporting Corby's goal to achieve profitable market leadership through continuous analysis of commercial performance and the formulation of actionable recommendations.

Your expertise in handling extensive data sets and your understanding of the Canadian beverage alcohol sector will be essential in tracking and reporting commercial performance against established KPIs. You will also develop impactful actions and best practices that will propel the Commercial organization forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Director of Commercial Strategy and Performance by providing detailed analyses and insights to enhance the commercial strategy.
  • Develop comprehensive reporting mechanisms, monitor progress, and offer insights and recommendations aligned with Corby's commercial objectives.
  • Create and maintain national and regional commercial performance scorecards reflecting key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Brand Marketing, and Market-Customer stakeholders to monitor depletions and reconcile shipments of allocated products.
  • Identify risks and work with the Senior Manager of Commercial Strategy and Performance to devise plans to ensure full shipment of allocations.
  • Provide ongoing reconciliation of shipments to OTCs for various stakeholders within the Commercial team.
  • Support the development of best practices in industry forecasting through quantitative modeling and predictive analysis, integrating qualitative consumer insights and trends.
  • Generate provisional regional forecasts for new product launches and validate them with Commercial Planners and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor listing status and national/regional performance against KPIs for innovative products during their initial launch year.
  • Offer analytical support to Market-Customer and Brand Teams, validating business cases for new opportunities.
  • Oversee and evolve the SPD brand investment framework, identifying risks and potential opportunities for below-the-line investments.
  • Partner with Brand and Execution teams to establish best practices for in-store execution standards, including distribution, shelf placement, planograms, pricing, promotional strategies, and other activation priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in analysis and strategic insights.
  • Strong technical proficiency in MS Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Market Insights/Analytics, preferably within the Consumer-Packaged Goods sector, with a focus on the Spirits & Wine industry being advantageous.
