Position Overview

Reporting to the Provisioning Manager, the Warranty and Repair Coordinator will serve as the primary contact for overseeing warranty repairs related to our aircraft components.

Your role will involve ensuring that we recover costs from manufacturers for parts and repairs that fall under warranty, while fostering strong relationships with our suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create repair orders for malfunctioning aircraft parts and components, detailing the specific issue, warranty information, and necessary repairs.
  • Process warranty claims for the acquisition and repair of aircraft parts and tools.
  • Review warranty contracts and technical documentation, including Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives, to determine warranty coverage.
  • Effectively communicate with vendors, repair facilities, and internal teams to monitor repair status, expedite overdue repairs, and resolve invoicing discrepancies.
  • Analyze repair estimates to ensure adherence to warranty conditions and identify any inconsistencies.
  • Manage the return of unserviceable components as part of our exchange program.

This involves:

  • Issuing return orders for components designated for exchange.
  • Informing the purchasing department of necessary exchanges for stock replenishment based on warranty returns.
  • Collaborating with all internal stakeholders to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.

Maintain records and documentation in accordance with company policy, including vendor audit forms. Actively engage in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS) by reporting hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations; understand, comply with, and promote the Company Safety Policy. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in warranty administration, ideally within the aviation sector.
  • A solid understanding of warranty principles and contractual agreements.
  • Prior experience in a technical repair capacity within aviation is required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with AMOS is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a dynamic environment.
