We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Systems Analyst to assist our product team in achieving its objectives. In this capacity, you will play a pivotal role in defining our requirements and software specifications to implement our product strategy effectively and bring outstanding software to the market.

About This Role

As an integral member of the Product team, you will serve as a liaison between our business and development units. A resourceful and analytical thinker, you will adopt an agile methodology for gathering requirements, evaluating options, and formulating specifications. You will be adept at crafting software specifications and use cases for a customizable platform. Additionally, you will be capable of assessing and negotiating the scope of changes and communicating these effectively to both business and technical stakeholders. A solid grasp of financial and accounting principles, along with CRM functionalities, is advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Investigate and evaluate requirements for new and existing functionalities.
  • Document business workflows and system specifications.
  • Design solutions and draft software specifications for new features and enhancements.
  • Perform gap and competitive analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Product team to assess, negotiate, and plan the scope of work.
  • Create and maintain system documentation in Jira/Confluence.
  • Partner with QA to establish acceptance criteria and conduct user acceptance testing.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Analysis within the software sector (CRM/SaaS preferred).
  • A post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and financial systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in an agile development environment.

Domain Knowledge & Industry Experience (Assets)

  • Expertise in membership and subscription management (including dues and renewals).
  • Knowledge of financial and commerce functionalities such as orders, invoices, taxes, payments, and related workflows.
  • Understanding of general accounting principles and integration with accounting software.
  • Experience with SaaS applications.
  • IIBA Certification is a plus.
