IT Business Analyst

The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams to optimize applications and processes that align with our strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the gathering and interpretation of business requirements into comprehensive system and technical specifications.
  • Facilitate progress on small to medium-sized initiatives.
  • Contribute to the overall design for application improvements.
  • Build and maintain relationships across departments; engage regularly with operational teams to deliver value and ensure transparency.
  • Serve as a vital resource throughout various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Life Cycle.
  • Maintain objectivity in work to ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives.
  • Assist in resolving assigned tickets and application-related challenges promptly.
  • Escalate issues and concerns to IT management and/or business process owners as necessary.
  • Make informed, data-driven decisions and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

  • University degree or postgraduate education in a business or STEM field.
  • Additional certifications demonstrating a commitment to ongoing education are advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in implementation consulting or as a Business Analyst.
  • Proven ability to effectively comprehend and refine business requirements.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems such as Oracle Cloud ERP, JDE, or SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles is a significant asset.
  • Experience delivering business solutions in an agile environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to analyze data, queries, and reports to support root cause analysis of issues.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on quality output.
  • Capacity to manage deliverables across multiple projects in a deadline-driven setting.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative, accountability, and a desire to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Visio, and wireframing tools.
