Position Overview

We are looking for a dedicated HR professional to join our team for a significant assignment. Our HR department, led by an HR Director and supported by an HR Advisor, is committed to excellence in all facets of human resources. The successful candidate will manage the complete recruitment cycle, oversee HR operations including benefits and payroll processes, handle administrative duties, and engage in various special initiatives focused on employee retention, training, corporate culture, and succession planning.

  • Address all HR-related inquiries from employees
  • Oversee the entire recruitment process and facilitate new employee onboarding
  • Prepare essential documentation for job offers and hiring, assist in developing and monitoring integration plans, and provide salary recommendations to management
  • Assist managers with HR management and labor relations
  • Coordinate HR initiatives related to talent development and support managers in their execution (e.g., performance evaluations)
  • Provide necessary data for employee and payroll records
  • Support the Health and Safety Coordinator in occupational health and safety matters (disability, workplace incidents, etc.)
  • Engage in various HR projects aimed at enhancing retention, training, corporate culture, and succession planning

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or industrial relations
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, particularly in a generalist role with recruitment responsibilities
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and principles governing HR in Quebec
  • Fluency in both spoken and written French and English
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Good analytical capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
  • Proficiency with computer tools (JDEdwards management system, Google Suite, etc.)
  • Proficient in Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and principles applicable in other regions of Canada (an asset)
  • Familiarity with an ATS system (an asset)
  • Membership in the Order of Certified Human Resources Professionals (an asset)
