The HR Generalist serves as a strategic partner, collaborating with senior leadership to support core clients, including district management, store management, and retail employees. This role is integral to our HR team, which is dedicated to fostering a positive impact on both the business and our people through process improvements, project execution, and creative talent solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with sales managers to foster positive employee relations and cultivate an engaged workforce while implementing innovative HR solutions
  2. Provide HR advice and consultation to retail staff and management on various HR-related issues
  3. Ensure adherence to provincial and federal employment laws and regulations, including human rights and privacy legislation
  4. Promote diversity, wellness, people analytics, and employee engagement initiatives
  5. Deliver HR training and share best practices across the organization
  6. Work closely with the Director of Human Resources on the development and management of the performance review process
  7. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements
  8. Lead the continuous development and success of training, onboarding, and offboarding processes
  9. Perform additional related duties as required
Qualifications
  1. Three to five years of experience in human resources management
  2. A post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred
  3. Specialized training in employment law, organizational development, employee relations, safety, training, and leadership is advantageous
  4. HR certification is preferred
  5. Familiarity with provincial employment laws and practices on a national scale
  6. Strong oral and written communication skills
  7. Excellent interpersonal and coaching abilities
  8. High level of confidentiality and diplomacy
  9. Exceptional organizational skills
