POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Operations Manager - SouthWest Ontario maintains direct engagement with all Nedco personnel in the area, including Sales Managers, Branch Managers, Sales Representatives, as well as customers and suppliers. This role is accountable for formulating budgetary objectives and ensuring that once established, they are meticulously monitored and achieved.

  • Develop and propose the annual sales and operational budget for the region, ensuring effective communication of these goals to branch levels once approved by senior management.
  • Engage with key clients to discuss market dynamics, future business opportunities, address concerns, and enhance customer awareness while supporting sales and marketing strategies within the client base.
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to immediate subordinates, ensuring effective management. Coordinate interactions with Nedco departments, external manufacturers, suppliers, and clients.
  • Identify future skill requirements for staff training to ensure they receive the necessary training to fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Maintain alignment with company policies and objectives, fostering a cohesive team environment to promote positive employee relations.
  • Ensure operational excellence through effective coordination of resources within the region, in collaboration with Divisional and Corporate personnel.
  • Meet corporate standards and expectations regarding quality, health and safety, and asset management initiatives.
  • Leverage and coordinate the services of Marketing, Marketing Services, Product Management, Inventory Replenishment, and Credit Management Departments to drive regional growth while minimizing and managing risks.
  • Develop, monitor, and implement Supplier strategies for regional growth, optimizing Nedco's opportunities for rebates and the use of promotional funds, in alignment with Division plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A university degree combined with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industry experience, including at least five (5) years in a senior management role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong business insight to analyze financial reports and formulate suitable implementation strategies to meet or exceed operational and fiscal objectives.
  • Ability to cultivate strategic partnerships and identify potential sales opportunities.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and planning capabilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members, with the capacity to make challenging decisions.
