Regional Operations Leader

POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Regional Operations Leader for South/West Ontario, you will engage directly with all personnel in the region, including Sales Managers, Branch Managers, and Sales Representatives, as well as customers and suppliers. Your role will encompass the formulation of budgetary objectives and the diligent monitoring of their achievement.
- Develop and propose the annual sales and operational budget for the region, ensuring clear communication of these goals to branch levels once approved by senior management.
- Engage with key clients to analyze market trends, discuss future business opportunities, address concerns, and enhance customer awareness while supporting the sales and marketing strategies.
- Provide robust management through effective leadership and guidance to your immediate team. Facilitate interactions with Nedco departments, external manufacturers, suppliers, and clients.
- Ensure that staff members receive the necessary training by identifying future skill requirements for their roles.
- Maintain alignment with company policies and objectives, fostering a collaborative team environment to promote positive employee relations.
- Drive operational efficiency and excellence by effectively coordinating resources within the region in collaboration with Divisional and Corporate teams.
- Meet corporate standards and expectations regarding quality, health and safety, and asset management initiatives.
- Leverage the services of the Marketing, Marketing Services, Product Management, Inventory Replenishment, and Credit Management Departments to facilitate regional growth while minimizing and managing risks.
- Design, oversee, and implement Supplier strategies for regional growth, optimizing Nedco's potential for rebates and the use of promotional funds in alignment with divisional plans.
Qualifications:
- A university degree coupled with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant industry experience, including at least five (5) years in a senior management role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong business insight to interpret financial reports and devise effective implementation strategies to meet or exceed operational and fiscal objectives.
- Proven ability to cultivate strategic partnerships and identify potential sales opportunities.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, and planning capabilities.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members, with the capacity to make challenging decisions.
