Job Description for Executive Chef at Biryani Boyz

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Biryani Boyz. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and taste.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate special events and functions, including weddings, corporate events, and private parties
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet our menu demands
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, using a variety of cooking techniques and ingredients
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring that they are clean, safe, and well-maintained
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Order supplies and equipment, ensuring that we have the necessary resources to meet our menu demands
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we have accurate records of our stock levels and usage
  • Clean kitchen and work areas, ensuring that they are clean and safe for staff and customers
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring that we are running efficiently and effectively

Requirements:

  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of communication
  • 35 hours per week
