Position Overview

The Head of IT Operations will spearhead the technological vision and program management efforts to create a cohesive, comprehensive business automation IT framework. This role involves evaluating the existing capabilities of March Networks' IT environment and ensuring its advancement across all IT domains: Business Applications, Infrastructure, Networking, Help Desk, and Cybersecurity. The ideal candidate will also be tasked with formulating a new strategy that enhances internal self-service capabilities and implements a robust competitive e-commerce strategy to support the rollout of MN's VaaS and SaaS offerings.

This position necessitates a wide-ranging background in technology leadership encompassing IT infrastructure, Business applications, Cybersecurity, and a strong emphasis on customer-centric approaches.

The individual will oversee the management of all IT projects, resource allocation, and both capital and operational budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define, implement, and maintain the IT Strategy for March Networks.
  • Critically assess the IT strategy to ensure it delivers business value and drives operational efficiencies, including the development of internal and external self-service options.
  • Facilitate a cultural shift within the organization to promote the use of services that can reduce costs and/or enhance revenue.
  • Oversee all IT operations and implement changes to boost the efficiency of the IT team and improve user experiences.
  • Manage timelines, content, and costs associated with all IT projects to ensure timely execution.
  • Provide strategic insights to the March Networks management team regarding technology and business process enhancements that could significantly elevate business effectiveness.
  • Ensure alignment of IT objectives, solutions, and resources with the overarching company strategy and business goals.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT operations.
  • Define, implement, and manage enhancements to the IT strategy that leverage existing investments in tier 1 application platforms.
  • Oversee ongoing initiatives related to Customer Self-service and E-Commerce solutions, including the phased rollout of StaxBill and the integration with core business systems (Salesforce and SAP).
  • Establish, implement, and update policies regarding IT infrastructure, desktop, and field device requirements to ensure secure operation of company assets and effective budget utilization.
  • Ensure secure and efficient use of the company's voice, data communications, and video collaboration networks.
  • Align IT risk management practices with security protocols, ensuring the protection of network communications, change management controls, and data integrity throughout the organization to mitigate vulnerabilities and cyber threats.
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific standards, such as GDPR, PCI DSS, SOC-2, ISO-27001, and SOX, where applicable.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Develop and present business cases to senior management for technology and/or business process implementations that support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships for sales, service, and support of all IT systems and tools, serving as the primary liaison for software, hardware, and network vendors.
  • Advance initiatives to enhance March Networks' Cybersecurity posture and maintain Cybersecurity certifications.
  • Define and execute the company's cloud strategy to support professional services and new product offerings.
  • Recruit and develop IT personnel in alignment with IT objectives and corporate requirements.
  • A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in Information Technology, including new product development and implementation, with at least 8 years in progressively responsible IT management roles, focusing on strategic planning, budgeting, and execution.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies, including VMware virtualization, IaaS, Cloud backup, Disaster Recovery, and Unified Communications.
  • Expertise in implementing and managing software solutions in ERP, CRM, E-Commerce, and Middleware.
  • Extensive knowledge of various technologies, including .Net, Databases, SQL, ETL processes, LDAP, and Web Services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with data processing methods, computer software systems, and systems design and development processes.
