Giatec Scientific Inc. is in search of a motivated and results-driven professional to take on the role of Head of IT Operations.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate eager to lead and manage the IT function within a dynamic organization.

The selected individual will collaborate closely with our CTO, SVP of Finance & Operations, and various partners to spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive IT strategy, along with several pivotal IT initiatives.

The Head of IT Operations will oversee the IT department, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of all IT services and infrastructure.

This encompasses the management of IT strategy, budgeting, systems administration, cybersecurity, compliance, and team leadership.

The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of contemporary technology trends, the capability to align IT efforts with business objectives, extensive knowledge of industry best practices, and a proven track record in effective technical management and information analysis.

Additionally, a thorough comprehension of computer hardware and software systems is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • IT Strategy, Process Design, and Improvement: Develop and implement an IT strategy that aligns with the company's objectives. Identify emerging technology trends to drive digital transformation and innovation.
  • Budgeting and Cost Management: Formulate and oversee the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and timely project delivery.
  • Cybersecurity and Compliance: Establish and enforce IT security policies and conduct risk assessments.
  • User Support and Service Management: Manage the IT helpdesk to ensure high user satisfaction and implement IT service management practices.
  • Leadership and Management: Mentor and develop a high-performing IT team, defining departmental goals and key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and network services in a high-tech setting.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity solutions and digital transformation projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure Active Directory administration.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based business applications.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent strategic planning and execution capabilities.
  • In-depth understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance.
  • Awareness of current IT technologies and trends.
