About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Subtown restaurant. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring high-quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution
    • Develop and implement new menu items and specials
    • Source high-quality ingredients and suppliers
    • Ensure menu items are prepared to perfection and presented attractively
  • Culinary Team Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to maintain high standards
    • Develop and implement effective kitchen procedures and protocols
    • Monitor and control food costs and inventory
  • Restaurant Operations
    • Ensure the kitchen is clean and safe at all times
    • Maintain a positive and respectful work environment
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service
Requirements
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience as an Executive Chef or Head Chef in a high-volume restaurant
  • Education
    • Post-secondary education in culinary arts or a related field
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and communication skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
